2. Guide of the South African Human Rights Commission
The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) has compiled a guide in terms of Section 10 of PAIA, containing information to assist a person wishing to exercise a right of access to information. This guide is available from the SAHRC.

4. Records Available on Request
Requests for access to records held by GRG may be made in terms of PAIA. Categories of records held include:
- Company registration documents
- Financial records and statements
- Employment and contractor records
- Correspondence and agreements
- Tax and compliance records
5. Request Procedure
A requester must complete the prescribed form (Form C) available from the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, and submit it to the Information Officer together with the prescribed fee.
6. Grounds for Refusal
Access to records may be refused on grounds set out in Chapter 4 of PAIA, including but not limited to:
- Protection of personal information of third parties
- Protection of commercial information
- Protection of confidential information of third parties
- Records privileged from production in legal proceedings
7. Remedies
If a request for access is refused, the requester may lodge an application with a court against the refusal, or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
8. POPIA
In terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), GRG processes personal information lawfully and in a reasonable manner. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.
